What makes the dAS10 different from other long-range drones?

Most long-range drones are either rigid-wing systems that require runway infrastructure, or rotary systems that trade endurance for convenience. The dAS10 is neither. Its pneumatic wing structure means it packs flat, deploys in minutes, and operates from any open ground — no runway, no ground crew, no heavy logistics. Combined with a flight endurance measured in hours rather than minutes, it closes the gap between what operators actually need and what the market has offered until now.

What are the performance figures?

The dAS10 is designed for long-endurance, low-speed autonomous flight. Target figures include a cruising speed of approximately 60–80 km/h, an operational ceiling suited to low-altitude surveillance and relay missions, a payload capacity in the range of 2–5 kg, and an endurance target exceeding 10 hours per mission. Full validated figures will be published following completion of the autonomous flight program.

What stage are you raising at?

We are raising a seed round, currently open. The round funds flight envelope expansion, first pilot customer deployments, and key hires in flight operations and certification. We are open to qualified strategic angels and deeptech funds. Defence-aware investors are welcome under qualified-partner discussion only.

Who are your first target customers?

Our initial target customers are infrastructure operators — energy companies, pipeline operators, and grid managers — who run routine aerial inspection programs today using crewed aircraft or conventional drones. We are also in early discussions with maritime surveillance authorities and logistics operators in regions with limited ground infrastructure. Pilot customer deployments are planned for Q4 2026.

Why this aircraft exists today.

Three shifts converged between 2024 and 2026. Operating costs for crewed aerial inspection outpaced inflation while compliance requirements rose. EASA Specific Category opened a viable path for long-range autonomous flight in European airspace. Pneumatic structural materials reached performance levels, making fixed-wing pneumatic aircraft physically feasible. None of these were true five years ago. All three are now.

Olivier Manette

PhD in Computational Neurosciences (Pierre and Marie Curie University / UPMC) and engineer (CNAM). Also a licensed ULM flight instructor.

Before Celeste, he founded and led FLOD SAS for ten years, a deeptech company building IoT and AI systems for structural monitoring of industrial infrastructure, reaching TRL 9. Techstars Montreal 2019 alumnus. EDF Pulse Grand Est laureate. Visiting lecturer in computational neuroscience at the University of Reims.

One of the rare deeptech CEOs who both writes the algorithms and flies the aircraft.

Benjamin Degasne

Textile engineer (ENSAIT) with nearly 20 years in R&D for pneumatic structures and technical textiles. Founder of Soft Materials Engineering, an independent engineering firm whose client list includes Airbus, Air France, Hutchinson, PSA, and Stelia Aerospace. He has delivered 50+ products to market, holds several patents, and counts a CES Innovation Award 2026 and a Concours Lépine Gold Medal 2023 among his recognitions.

At Celeste, Benjamin designed the dAS10 envelope from the ground up. He selected the materials, defined the assembly processes, and is leading industrialization. The pneumatic wing architecture at the core of the aircraft is his domain.
